CHESTERFIELD — Special Town Meeting approves three articles with unanimous support. The town transferred $25,000 from Free Cash to cover the minimum trade-in value on a new F600 highway truck, with plans to recoup additional proceeds by selling the replaced vehicle on Municibid. Voters also rescinded $25,829 in unspent borrowing authority from three prior equipment purchases dating to 2021-2022, and adopted a temporary moratorium on battery energy storage systems applications running through September 30, 2026, to allow the Planning Board time to study siting, safety, and environmental impacts.
