CHESTERFIELD — The Chesterfield Select Board toured eight town-owned buildings and properties to assess maintenance needs. Select Board members Patricia Colson-Montgomery and Donald Willard, accompanied by Town Administrator Brenda Lessard, documented peeling paint, rotting wood, roof damage, and structural concerns across the Transfer Station, Dunham Building, Library, Edwards Museum, Fire Station, 6 North Road, Community Center, Vets Park, and Town Hall. The Dunham Building presented the most extensive list of repairs, including rotting windowsills and a porch railing requiring significant jacking work.
The Edwards Museum was noted to have a mice infestation with damage to exhibits and textiles.
