Select Board hosts annual all-boards meeting with department updates.

Select Board · Meeting of February 26, 2026

CHESTERFIELD — Select Board conducts annual all-boards meeting with department updates. Chair Roger Fuller and members Trish Colson-Montgomery and Don Willard III heard reports from 24 town departments. The Finance Committee flagged a difficult budget year with Hampshire Regional High School's budget up $131,000 and New Hingham Regional Elementary School's up $113,000, primarily driven by health insurance increases; state aid has declined.

Major projects include the North Road and Damon Pond Road reconstruction beginning soon, the Fire Rescue Truck expected in late spring or summer, and the Library's ADA bathroom project, for which trustees are applying for a Massachusetts Office on Disabilities grant. The Planning Board received a $110,000 State grant for a Master Plan and conducted a community survey with 191 responses. The Public Safety Building Committee is evaluating three potential sites for a new public safety building.
