CHESTERFIELD — Select Board approves remote meeting identification policy and health insurance cost shift. The board unanimously backed a new policy requiring Zoom participants to display full names and removed a participant identified only as "Michael" for non-compliance. In a second unanimous vote, the town increased its share of employee health insurance from 60 to 65 percent, lowering worker cost share to 35 percent.
Chair Roger Fuller and members Colson-Montgomery and Willard also unanimously awarded a cemetery stump-removal contract to Todd Alexander Contractor, Inc. at $6,400, contingent on Cemetery Commission clearance. Meanwhile, Highway Superintendent Matt Smith's request to raise laborer Scott Carpenter's pay from $22.78 to $25 per hour was deferred; the board committed to a 3 percent raise for FY27, with comprehensive pay-equity discussions scheduled through the Collins Center plan over the summer.
