CHESTERFIELD — The Chesterfield Recreation Committee approved prior minutes and reviewed spring programming on April 2. Committee members Megan Willard, Don Willard, and Kim Messeck reported successful runs of the March 15 Matchbox Rally (45 participants) and an Easter egg hunt (75 attendees). The monthly Drop in Art program, capped at 20 children per session, will increase its fee to $10 per month starting in September to cover supplies.
The committee discussed the July 4 parade food operation, with Megan Willard raising concerns about volunteer availability for food sales and Don Willard committing to identify alternative sources for cooking food. The committee identified popcorn, drinks, coffee, and muffins as low-volunteer snack options for sale at the event.
