MVP Committee approves climate action plan for Chesterfield

MVP Committee (Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness) · Meeting of March 19, 2026

CHESTERFIELD — The Chesterfield MVP Committee unanimously approved a completed Climate Action Plan and voted to submit it to the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs. The plan, developed through the state's Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness program, identifies climate risks to the town's infrastructure, public health, and natural environment while cataloging internal and external resources available to strengthen community resilience. The committee found the assessment comprehensive in documenting existing and future climate threats and adequate in its identification of adaptive capacity to help residents, municipal systems, and environmental assets resist climate change impacts.
