Finance Committee defers Collins Center salary overhaul, approves 3% COLA for town staff
Finance Committee · Meeting of April 1, 2026
Chesterfield Finance Committee deferred a new Collins Center salary structure for fiscal 2027 and approved a three percent COLA for all town employees. Chair Larry Cervelli and members Lee Manchester, Sarah Hamilton, John Follet, and Darlene McVeigh cited the need for further analysis of how to handle employees paid between steps and recognize long-service tenure. The committee confirmed current health insurance funding of $99,985 covers both premium increases and the town's expanded 65 percent cost share.
A separate April 16 Finance Committee meeting will finalize FY 2027 budget adjustments after Smith Vocational High School announces Chesterfield student enrollment via lottery that same day.
