Council on Aging approves May minutes, reviews summer programs.

CHESTERFIELD — The Chesterfield Council on Aging approved prior minutes and reviewed summer operations at its June 29 meeting. Director Jess Humphries reported expanded office hours and recent programs including a Director Lunch drawing 28 to 30 attendees and a Dear Ella Trio performance with approximately 18 that council members requested be repeated. The board asked Humphries to compile a catering list and compare costs after Chair Marianne Drake requested guidance on meal quantities.

Upcoming fall offerings include a Beatles singalong, Tai Chi for Arthritis, Strength in Numbers fall prevention class, and a cooking class led by member John Kislo.
