Chesterfield Planning Board votes for expanded master plan partnership

Chesterfield Planning Board advances master plan consulting and zoning amendments. The board unanimously approved a $5,000 contract increase for North Star Planning's 15-month master plan implementation process, with kickoff set for April 6 and public workshops in June and September. In separate votes, the Planning Board approved zoning language updates for the May 4 town meeting, including Battery Energy Storage Systems hydrogeological study requirements, building and fire code consistency standards for large solar projects, and updated Accessory Dwelling Unit parking provisions reflecting state law changes.
Board members articulated individual priorities ranging from environmental leadership and dark skies protection to infrastructure improvements and youth recreation services.
