Chesterfield holds annual town election with 151 ballots cast

Chesterfield held its annual town election on May 4 with 151 ballots cast. Patricia Colson-Montgomery won the Select Board seat with 97 votes; Margaret "Peg" Whalen was re-elected to the Board of Health with 130 votes; and Jennifer B. Peotter won the Library Trustee race with 141 votes.
Write-in candidates George Sturtevant and Sarah Hamilton were elected to the Planning Board after both nominations, with Sturtevant accepting his position and Hamilton accepting her two-year slot. Overall turnout was 15 percent of the town's 1,008 registered voters.
