Board of Health plans FY27 budget with expanded transfer station staffing

CHESTERFIELD — The Board of Health discussed FY27 budget requests, seeking a $7,000 appropriation to increase the second transfer station attendant's hours from 5 to 7 per week. Chair John Chandler's board also is requesting funds for professional memberships in MAHB and MHOA, plus additional money for conferences, training, and mileage. The board is pursuing an ATM appropriation for shed replacement and for AccuFab to replace the transfer station's recycling container wooden decking with metal.
Board member Peg Whalen will receive increased funding for NEIWPCC training on septic inspection and soil classification.
